Abstract

Acoustic study is the study of human sounds in order to describe, interpret, analyze, and write sounds. This study relies on phonetics. This science is also called the science of phonetics, and this science is one of the most important branches of linguistics. Regulatory phonology studies the human voice in the structure of speech, and relies on analyzing sounds and dividing them into phonemic units that change meaning, as in “ad” and “adh.” Changing one sound such as s, s, and ta in the verbs (sar, sar, and taar) have different meanings according to the phonemic unit in them. Since phonology had an impact on the significance of vocabulary and structures, linguists and interpretation studied the sounds in order to know the meanings of the vocabulary in which sentences and phrases are arranged together, and to know the effect of each part of it on the other, especially in the Quranic readings and bring the meanings and rulings of the Quran closer to the mind or understanding. Imam Rashid Rida was one of the most prominent scholars who performed this task and wrote his interpretation of "Al-Manar".
