Context and its implications in the Quranic discourse an applied study in Surat Yusuf

Abstract

The study aimed to stand on the consistency and harmony of Surat Yusuf - peace be upon him - through the phenomenon of context. The researcher followed the descriptive analytical approach. The study concluded that the context represents an important topic in ancient and modern linguistic studies, and the different contexts of words inevitably lead to a meaning contrary to the first context, or the interdependence and harmony of some parts of the surah. The study recommended the need to study the phenomenon of context in the entire Holy Quran, to find out the extent to which its surahs and verses are interconnected, as well as sampling the linguistic beauty of the Noble Qur’an.
