Employing the grammatical lesson in solving the problem of the word of the Prophet’s sayings in the light of the book “Problems of Muwatta Malik bin Anas” by Ibn Al-Sid Al-Batalyawsi (d. 521 AH)

Abstract

There are many valuable sciences which are beneficial and stand top of the list and the most important of them are the sciences of the Sharia, and some specific arts associated with Sharia for true understanding of the Quran and sayings of the Holy Prophet. To achieve this target, scholars from ancient times worked hard for confinement of the Arabic Grammar, limiting its border, differentiating the branches from fundamentals for the best understanding of the Holy Quran and Sunnah of the Holy Prophet. For the sake of true understanding of the Holy Quran and Sunnah, one must master the sciences of language like semantics of words, meanings of different sentences and phrases and their structures. A true understanding of the Holy Texts demands mastering of different sciences and from these sciences; grammar stands first which helps initially to understand Sharia.The book titled “Problems of Muwatta by Malik bin Anas” caught my eye, so I wanted to know about these problems, and how to solve them, so I came across a good number to create a research based on highlighting the impact of the grammatical and morphological lesson in solving the problem of the wording of the Prophet’s hadith in the light of a book Ibn Al-Sid Al-Batalyawsi.
