All people have feelings, but people differ in the way of expression, and each person expresses his feelings in proportion to his culture, age, and environment. For example: nostalgia for the homeland and longing for it. Ibn Khaldun is an Arab and Muslim writer and thinker. He has cultural diversity, a thinker, jurist, politician, writer, and a good poet.
The research studies the human experience of Ibn Khaldun and highlights the stylistic features in the poetry of longing and nostalgia. The research depends on the (descriptive)- (analytical) method, describes the structural features, and analyses the rhetorical style of expression. The research studies: the beginning of the poem, the introduction to the poem, and a method between poetic purposes. The research studies the language, the choice of vocabulary, phrases, and sentences, and the research explains the extent to which the poet succeeds in using vocabulary that carries and conveys feelings, and the link between the word and its meaning. The research studied linguistic structure, selection of sounds, poetic rhythm, and all components of internal music: alliteration, interview, repetition, introduction, and delay. The research studies the (symbol) and its role in enriching thought and evoking feelings, and getting out of embarrassment in expression, and feelings of longing. And longing and nostalgia in poetry.
